It’s a sign of changing times and renewed commitment to the environment. Invitation company Carlson Craft announced this week that starting Nov. 3, it is no longer including tissue paper with most if its invitations. In the past, the tissue was needed to prevent wet ink from smearing onto the rest of the invitation. The ink used today no longer smears like that, and Carlson cited research that said most customers no longer use the tissues. Engraved invitations will still include tissue paper.
